ARTIST

BARTOSZ ZASKÓRSKI

Bartosz Zaskórski (b. 1987) is a Polish multidisciplinary artist whose work drifts between drawing, comics, electronic music, audio drama and sculptural objects, weaving together eerie folklore, dark humor and lo-fi pop culture. Raised in the village of Żytno and trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice and Kraków, he builds strange narrative worlds populated by ghosts, mutants and forgotten landscapes. Part nightmare, part nostalgia. His work has been exhibited internationally at institutions including the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, BWA Bunkier Sztuki in Kraków and CAC Vilnius, and is held in major public collections. Alongside his visual practice, he releases melancholic electronic music as Porosty (f.k.a. Mchy i Porosty), contributes to comics and games, and continues to expand his peculiar universe across mediums. He collaborates with Hollow Press, which has published his three comic books set in the world of POSTAPOLAND and the BUBZIUM lorebook, from which all the artwork in the collection originates.
